Founded in 1643, on the threshold of the reign of Louis XIV, Cire Trudon is the oldest Candlemaker in the world still active today.
The scented 'Cire' cameo goes on the ceramic dish of 'La Promeneuse' nightlight. Once it's lit, the heated wax will melt and spread its fragrance rapidly into the air. Its fragrance is infused with beeswax — a scent that's always been at the heart of Trudon's history: since the 17th century, its motto has been “Deo regique laborant”, or “they (the bees) work for God and the King”.
